It was so wonderful to see and sing with so many of you at our annual Festivals of Light Sing-along yesterday morning. On behalf of all the teachers and staff at the Lab School, I send you and your family very warm wishes for a wonderful holiday.
Coding Workshop
A big thank you to Nick Song, who organized an exciting event for students from Grade 2 to 5. On Monday, JICS was visited by the amazing Code Mobile! Run by Canada Learning Code, students participated in a Scratch coding workshop, where they learned to program a video game from the ground up. Below is a link to a SWAY Nick created - enjoy!

Daycare News (416 934 4522)
Dear Parents,
The ICS daycare board of Directors and the staff would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a warm and wonderful holiday. The daycare will be open on January 8th at 8:00a.m.
New: The morning daycare has been relocated to the Junior kindergarten room which is located in the basement.
Our chess club will start on Monday, January 15th.
We welcome students from Grades 1 to 6 to participate. Maximum of 16 students.
When: Mondays 3:45 – 4:45pm
January 15-March 5, 2018 (Please note: February 19 excluded)

Outreach Announcements
The grade three class collected over 60 pairs of warm and cosy socks for their sock drive! These socks will be donated to individuals who are in need. A big thank you to all the families that contributed to this effort!
The annual food drive lead by the Grade 6 class collected 500 pounds of food which they delivered to the Walmer Road Food Bank. Thank you everyone for your generous donations. Photos below.
