One of the favourite mornings of the year for many of us is a February morning when parents come to school to hear about how children learn at Jackman ICS. This year the Parent Education Committee has planned that special morning to take place on Thursday, February 15 from 8:30am to 10:30am.
We welcome all parents to join a panel of teachers who will present "A focus on Inquiry" and we will tour through the school to see Inquiry in action across the grades. The morning finishes with a debrief with a panel of teachers.
As you know, Inquiry is foundational to the way we teach and to the way students learn. At Jackman ICS we believe that learning is a rigorous process of inquiry, driven by curiosity, discourse, assessment, and reflection. We thank the chair of the Parent Education committee, Malik Martin, who has coordinated this event with the teaching staff.
