Dear Jackman ICS Families,
We have had a wonderful first week of Winter Term! The children have been enjoying their new spaces and our new gym! The talented Zach Pederson, who works with The Robertson Program at JICS, created a short video of our first day back and the children's reactions to some of our new spaces. New Gym and Proper Footwear
We ask that all children wear indoor shoes (running shoes) that are non-marking to protect the floors of our new gym.
Outdoor Play + Winter weather
We do not let rain or snow get in our way of important outdoor play. Puddles are hard to resist for children of all ages! Please send your child with outdoor clothing and footwear appropriate to weather conditions.

If your child is sick, we ask that you do not send them to school. Please inform the school office of any absence 416-934-4517

1. Official Opening Celebrations
On January 26, 2018 at 1:00 pm, we will host the official opening ceremony of the new Jackman ICS building. The children, JK to Gr 6, will attend along with invited guests: alumni families, donors, former teachers, university colleagues and friends of the lab school. We hope you are able to attend this exciting celebration. As space is limited, we ask that you RSVP by January 15, 2018 to 416-978-1064 or dua.events@utoronto.ca
2. Research Night -- "THE" Parent Education Night of the year!
We hope you will plan to join us to hear about current research happening in the Lab School. We welcome Dr. Patricia Ganea and Dr. Kang Lee who will be sharing their exciting findings with us. Free babysitting, please RSVP here
