Dear Parents,
As you may have learned in the news last night, a very serious situation took place near the school:
We are writing to let you know that the incident occurred during the final minutes of After School Daycare and that the Daycare staff immediately responded to Toronto Police instructions to exit the playground, enter the building, and stay inside until the situation had cleared. All the Daycare children were picked up by their caregivers.
We want to assure you that throughout the year we hold drills with all children to practice both evacuating and remaining securely in the building in the event of an emergency or potential danger.
