Online registration will open on Tuesday, August 27, 2024 at 10:00 AM. Rock Band at JISC invites students of all levels of experience to join together to make music and jam! We choose a band name, compile a song list, practice songwriting, play covers, improvise, and learn the foundations of contemporary music in a creative and collaborative group setting! Each student will have the opportunity to sing and play drums, bass, keyboard, guitar, ukulele, xylophone, and percussion, and will be encouraged to switch around each week. At the end of the term, we will record an original song and make a music video! About the teacher: Suzy Wilde has been teaching music for twenty years and is the founder of Palmerston Music Factory- a school that specializes in rock band and private lessons for kids of all ages. Wilde is a multi-instrumentalist, composer and performer from Toronto. Pick-up: School Playground from 2:45 - 3:00pm.
